Remote Controlled Assassination

Like me, many of you may have children. I find this to be the perfect excuse to buy yourself a toy and what could be more exciting than a remote controlled army combat helicopter. The wife will have little idea as long as you allow your child to join in with the fun.

So anyway recently my son turned eight and after deciding he would love one I went ahead and ordered an RC Gyro Apache Helicopter for his birthday. This Apache has great reviews and it deserves them - its very stable and
easy to control unlike many others in this price range. Most of the Apache including the shell is made from a tough plastic which means it is pretty lightweight and only suitable for armchair aviators. Given a heavy gust of wind the Apache would fly off never to be seen again, so best keep this one indoors.

The controls are accurate and easy to pair. The copter supports three radio channels, this will allow you to avoid interference and even fly with another two copters at the same time. To power the copter you have to charge it. A full charge takes around 30 minutes and this will allow for around 8 minutes of flight. There are two ways to charge - It can be done via the provided usb cable plugged into your computer or alternatively from the copters controller, just plug it in and wait until the light glows red.

The on board gyro and three channel system allows for complete control in all directions and they also make it very easy to hover. For those late night assassination missions the copter comes with built in lights which are activated remotely using the controller. Although be warned the lights are really bright and very colourful  your sure to be spotted a mile off. The controller also has pitch adjustment this allows for near perfect hovering over the wife's head.

As with all of these toy helicopters your going to have accidents. Whether its crashing into a light fitting or hitting the TV after a bad take off, its just inevitable. Although don't worry as you get a few spare parts included such as a couple of blades and a tale propeller - Any other bits are cheaply available on Amazon. To sum up this Apache is a great indoor model helicopter and for such an amazing price it is well worth the investment.

Check it out for yourself.
